FINNEYPEPE was minted on October 15, 2016. We created this collectible in honor of computer scientist and early Bitcoin developer, Hal Finney. For many crypto pioneers, Hal is a legend second only perhaps to Satoshi Nakamoto himself. Recently, we came into possession of an authentic piece of early crypto artwork — a sketched portrait of Hal rendered in 2014 by artists before succumbing to ALS in 2014. We used that sketch as the starting point to create the FINNEYPEPE.
