TL;DR:
- New visual design: Horizon Wallet has been completely redesigned to match the Market's modern look.
- Smart swap interface: Automatically creates PSBT swaps or DEX orders based on the types of assets you're trading.
- Trade management per asset: View and manage all active swaps, orders, and dispensers from one place.
- Dynamic Wallet Type: Import your seed phrase with the default native Horizon BIP84 wallet format, then change the HD wallet type and path as needed from Settings.
- Unified send function: One action now handles both address and UTXO balance transfers.
- Deeper Horizon Market integration: A new "Tools" pane lets you construct transactions with your Horizon Market.
Following our Horizon 2.0 announcement, we're excited to announce the release of the completely redesigned Horizon Wallet. The wallet sports an all-new look and streamlines core workflows for a far more intuitive experience.
New Features
Unified Send Function
Select your token and source (address or UTXO), enter recipient and quantity. The wallet determines the right transaction type automatically.
If you're sending a UTXO-bound asset, the wallet will prompt you to detach the asset from the UTXO.
Smart Swap Interface
Trading is unified under a single swap button, with native support for these swap types:
- Asset for BTC: Creates PSBT atomic swaps on Horizon Market (attaches balance to UTXO if source is an address).
- BTC for Asset: Matches your buy order with swap listings on Horizon Market.
- Asset for Asset: Creates DEX orders (detaches balance from UTXO if source is a UTXO).
This lets you trade assets with fewer steps and fewer protocol details exposed.
Manage Active Trades
Each asset page now shows a unified view of all your active marketplace activity—across swaps, orders, and dispensers. You can delist swaps, cancel DEX orders, or close dispensers directly from one interface.
Dynamic Wallet Types
Importing your seed phrase no longer requires choosing a wallet type up-front. The wallet defaults to the native Horizon BIP84 format automatically. If you have a non-native seed (from Counterwallet or Freewallet), you can still change the wallet format in Settings after import.
Why These Changes
The previous wallet exposed every protocol feature directly, requiring users to understand technical concepts before completing even simple tasks.
This update organizes the wallet interface around user intent, focusing on sending and swapping, while keeping advanced Counterparty functionality accessible through the "Tools" tab and the full Horizon Market.
Upgrading
The previous version of Horizon Wallet is temporarily available at wallet.unspendablelabs.com for users transitioning to the new version. Extension users can download older releases directly from GitHub.
Available Now
If you're using the Horizon Wallet browser extension, it will update automatically.
