Build Your Profile on Horizon Market

TL;DR

  • New login system with guided onboarding for first-time users
  • Multi-wallet account linking – connect multiple addresses to a single Horizon account via email
  • User profiles — curate assets from your wallets, "like" assets across the platform, and showcase your collection
  • Automatic creator attribution — your profile name appears on asset pages for everything issued from your linked addresses
  • Public marketplace activity — listings and sales from linked wallets display on your profile (for wallets you choose to make public)

Since launching Horizon 2.0, we've heard consistent feedback: users want a stronger sense of identity on the platform. This update delivers on that by giving you more control over how you present yourself and get recognized on Horizon Market.

Guided Onboarding

First-time users now receive contextual guidance that explains Horizon's key features without overwhelming them. The onboarding flow introduces users to the marketplace, trading mechanics, and account setup in a progressive way — helping newcomers understand the platform while allowing experienced users to skip ahead.

Overhauled Account System

The centerpiece of this release is a new account system that finally gives users a unified identity across multiple wallets and addresses.

Multi-Wallet Linking

You can now link multiple Bitcoin addresses to a single Horizon account. Whether you're connecting wallets or adding email addresses, all your linked addresses are managed from one place.

This means collectors can showcase assets across all their wallets in one place, while maintaining separate addresses for different purposes.

Account Management Interface

We've built a new interface for managing your linked addresses. The design emphasizes clarity and control—you can easily see which addresses are connected, add new ones, or remove addresses you no longer want associated with your account. The process is straightforward: connect a wallet or add an email, verify ownership, and it's linked.

Profile System: Curate and Connect

Asset Curation

Your profile is now a curated gallery. You can select which assets from your linked wallets to display, creating a showcase that represents your taste, your collection strategy, or your creative output. This is especially valuable for collectors with large holdings who want to highlight specific pieces, or for creators who want to present a cohesive portfolio.

Note: A well-curated profile page showing selected assets in an attractive gallery layout

Likes and Social Features

We've added a "like" system that lets you express appreciation for assets across the platform. Liked assets appear on your profile, creating a secondary collection that reflects your broader interests in the Counterparty ecosystem. It's a simple feature, but it adds a layer of social interaction that's been missing from decentralized marketplaces.

Creator Attribution

Here's where things get interesting for creators: when you link an address to your Horizon account, your profile name automatically appears on the asset page for every asset issued by that address. This creates persistent attribution — your name travels with your work, even as assets move between collectors.

For artists and creators who've built bodies of work over months or years, this is transformative. Your identity as a creator is no longer fragmented across addresses or lost in transaction history.

Marketplace Activity Display

Your profile also serves as a window into your marketplace activity. Listings and sales from your linked wallets appear on your profile page, but only for wallets you've chosen to make public. This gives you control over what you share while providing transparency where you want it.

Collectors can showcase their successful trades, creators can display their sales history, and everyone has the option to keep certain wallets private for their own purposes.

Why These Features Matter

  • For collectors: Better organization, easier discovery, and the ability to build reputation through curation
  • For creators: Automatic attribution ensures credit for your work while profiles showcase your catalog and connect you with collectors
  • For the community: More ways to discover assets and engage with others through likes, public sales history, and curated galleries
